Many people looking for a dentist also need a doctor, and this group lists the medical clinics, family physicians, urgent care and walk-in centers, hospitals, pediatricians, eye doctors, medical specialists and pharmacies near the dental practices on the site. Primary care in the US runs through family doctors and internists who coordinate referrals; urgent care centers handle minor injuries and illnesses without an appointment for far less than an emergency room; hospitals with emergency departments are the place for severe facial trauma or a dental infection that spreads. Pharmacies fill the antibiotics and pain medication a dentist prescribes and sell fluoride rinses and prescription-strength toothpaste.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Asheville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. If you have literally any other option, I strongly recommend using it. If youโre desperate and canโt find other care, they will prescribe medication you already know you need. Beyond that, my experience has been extremely frustrating. This practice is incredibly disorganized, difficult to reach, and poor at communication. I have had to fight tooth and nail to get appointments scheduled and even to arrange a payment plan. The patient portal is essentially useless beyond appointment reminders. The only reason Iโm still a patient is because I have not found another Asheville-area practice currently accepting new patients, offering self-pay care, and able to address my needs. Iโm on the waitlist for Ashwell, which Iโve heard wonderful things about. I previously tried Integrative Family Medicine, which was better than this practice overall, but I still found them lacking when it came to understanding and addressing womenโs hormonal conditions and imbalances. I would avoid this practice unless you need extremely basic care for an already-established diagnosis and treatment plan. If you need someone to actually investigate a problem, connect the dots, communicate clearly, and help you

Really really like my new PCP here! Dr. Humbert had been great, treats me like a whole person and not a collection of symptoms. This is my number one priority when seeking a doctor. The office is accessible and I am satisfied.

Dr. Ellores Brailey is absolutely brilliant. I went into the office last week to speak to her, and I left feeling confident in the procedure she would be performing the following week. I went home and told my family that she has a way of making her patients feel seen and CARES like most doctors donโt. And today, during my procedure, while it was uncomfortable physically, I felt so safe and supported throughout the entire experience. She is so knowledgeable and KIND and has this quick whit about her, you can just tell she enjoys her job and does it with passion. If I had a daughter, this would be the only OBGYN I would trust. Dale Fell is lucky to have her

I switched health insurance and this was the only place that took my new insurance, so I made an appointment for a routine test. The nurse told me a bizarre story about a woman whoโd had a hysterectomy and miraculously REGREW her uterus and became pregnant in her 50s โbecause God can perform miraclesโ. My nurse not believing in science did not make me feel very confident in her care. My Doctor then completely ignored a boundary I stated while performing the test. The lack of professionalism was appalling and I wouldnโt recommend this place to anyone.

The quality of care here is good, but they donโt treat you like a human and have no empathy or flexibility. Administrative team is disorganized, sometimes rude, and never calls you back/follows through, including the billing department. Theyโre extremely inflexible and it feels like they look for any small reason to cancel you. Thereโs only one hygienist, so if you are late, they claim that they donโt have enough time to do the appointment, instead of being flexible and spending a shorter time on something to still get you in. Instead they choose to do god knows what for remainder of your hour-long appointment instead of being helpful. The quality of care and cost is not worth being treated this way for me, so Iโll be finding a new provider.
